Title: Some tips plz? CALLING ALL UBUNTU USERS
Post by: kgm_1004 on July 06, 2010, 01:50:04 AM
I would like to install ubuntu on my macbook pro. Is it possible to install ubuntu via boot camp just like windows?
Also, can you compare Win XP Pro and ubuntu if possible?
thx in advance.

P.S. does Korean, Chinese Japanese all work in ubuntu? Heard many complaints from Korean Ubuntu users that they weren't able to type the three language mention above.

Well, I think you might be able to through boot camp and if not then you can always use a VM to run it on your Mac! I wouldn't know though, all my Mac computers are too old to have boot camp on them.

I'd recommend using VirtualBox, a free VM program, that way you won't have to go through the hassle of partitioning and whatnot. Ubuntu works fine on my Mac in VirtualBox, just be sure to install the "guest additions" feature if you do.

Sorry, not sure about the languages it supports.

How do you delete windows? I don't want it. Do I use boot camp to do this also?
