i currently have the OS-tan Comiket (i'm actually calling it that, i was gonna have that be a stand-in till i came up with a name, but it's been 2 years and i got nothin'. :\ )

the process is slow, though. i only have 1 chapter so far (but i have groundwork for a second, and ideas for more).

i also have the 1-shot crossfic "Poke Her", but it's kinda.....porny. :\

Once you get more of your comic done and posted (to avoid spoilers), I'd really like to see an article for it!

To get started, all writers, what are the titles of your OS-tan stories? I'll start with a list before making a template for each article.

Chocofreak13

so far, i have the OS-tan Comiket, Poke Her (H crossfic), and a 4-koma series being planned (might title it "Nanami's Boarding House").

So you have three of them? Cool!

Can you give brief synopses for each of them?

I wish Ihad more time to work on that Leopard-tan/Mac Family comic. I still want to finish that one (while maintaining my original character series as well), but might have to make some cutbacks to speed up production. x_x

technically, there was that viru blues one, so 4. ^^;

viru blues was supposed to be about a virus-tan (and her two friends) taking revenge on the os-tan, who she believed killed her sister. it's later revealed that they were not to blame, but that she was betrayed by someone close to her.

the os-tan comiket was about fostering friendship between the macs and the windows, and overcoming challenges with old rivalries and inner family struggle.

poke her has no plot other than being a 1-shot porno crossover between os-tan and another comic of mine, ace's high.

nanami's boarding house was going to be a bunch of 4-komas about nanami and the other programs on my computer (some of the programs would be ones i wish i had ^^; ).

i understand how you feel. but it can sometimes be a matter of finding/making the time. since all my comics are hand drawn, i used to bring them to class with me in high school and work on them there. :3

time management is a skill i have yet to acquire. :3

i forget what happened to the viru-blues one, but i know i have at least one chapter of it. the os-tan comiket has 1 chapter, with planning for another (repeating myself, sorry ^^; ) and nanami's boarding house has SOME planning, but nothing for the first one yet. :\

alot of my comic efforts get thrown into ace's high, i have 2 and a half chapters of that already. there's also shoji seven, which has 1 chapter and a plot, but no groundwork for a second chapter (yet).

i wish i had the free time i had in high school. i spend so much time on homework, school, and commuting, that i can't seem to find the time anymore. ;__;

Thank you sooooo much! :D

For the literature template for each article's page, I have the following in mind:

*Title
*Author
*OS-tan continuity (?)
*Setting
*Main characters
*Supporting characters
*Narrator (name of character, or simply third-person)
*Format (series, one-shot, alternate universe)
*Length: #of chapters (if written) or #of pages (if comic)

Btw, with your Leopard-tan series, is that three chapters so far, with the first one having three parts to it?

I'm reluctant to add my stories to the list since they're all in Development Hell at the moment. :(

======

For another wiki update, I created an OS-tan Multimedia section.

Thanks, stew!

@Stew and Bella: can you also give a short synopsis of each?

EDIT: Updated the Literature/Manga Guide.

Still working on the Multimedia page, and got more thumbnail pics added in. I was wondering if there should articles for each of the OS-tan videos describing them, the song they used, more screencaps, and with transcribed lyrics. Anybody up for that challenge?

Here's a proposed list for areas that need the most improvement:

  • The articles for the canon OS-tans. They're woefully undersized, and some of them may even be outdated. Include more current details, roles in stories, and describe alternate interpretations.
  • The theories page, for anyone who is really up for a major challenge.
  • In the Windows-tans section, many of the articles need redirects, since many of the URLs don't match up with the listed names.
i.e: for Inu-T (NT 4.0), redirect from InuT-tan to Windows NT Workstation; for 95-tan, redirect from 95-tan to Windows 95, for ME-tan, redirect from Me-tan to Windows ME. That will make piping to their articles much easier and consistent.

  • Create separate articles for 98-tan and 98SE-tan. They've long since become distinct enough characters to warrant their own article.
  • Windows Vista: Add pics for each described character design
  • Windows 7: Add descriptions for major designs, Nanami, and pics for each.

Chocofreak13

i meant to tackle nanami a long time ago, so i'll try to get on that. ^^;

btw, i'd hold off on the multimedia section for awhile if i were you, since some of the stuff i got in my mass downloads were flash movies. :\ (alot of which we don't have.)
