Quote from: stewartsage on Yesterday at 07:42:44 PMIt's funny to imagine Whirlwind-sama being a disruptive feral child like PDP-1-tan.  Maybe when she was getting swapped back and forth between services?

Okay, now I want to imagine Whirlwind-tan going through a rebellious teen period after she got kicked out (?????) of the WAVES but before she became an air force consultant, or whatever her job description was (*adds to list of questions*), and not *just* because it'd give me a reason to draw her as a sukeban.

Quote from: stewartsage on Yesterday at 07:42:44 PMBBNTSS-tan looks properly miserable.
Then I did my job. ^__^

Quote from: stewartsage on Yesterday at 07:42:44 PMMan, your shitposts are great.  Being ENIAC-sama is suffering.  At least she looks cute in the maid frills!  There are so many IASes...  May have found more step-kids?  Grandkids?  Not sure how to categorize them, but they may show up in my thread eventually.

Poor ENIAC-tan, imagine having to deal with IAS-tan's shenanigans for the next 80 years with no end in sight. And the shenanigans of her billions of grandkids. Plus a few more soon, hopefully!

Quote from: stewartsage on Yesterday at 07:44:10 PMI don't get it.

I'm implying that now that Whirlwind-tan is alive ("alive"?) she can kill SAGE-tan. Presumably by showing her the undivided love and attention she's been after for the last 70 years, obliterating her on the spot from sheer overjoy.

Quote from: Bella on July 02, 2025, 11:15:54 PMI'm not separating that all out again.

I've come to the conclusion that DEC and CDC are spectacularly competent with their businesses compared to BBN, who may just be the Apperture Science of Massachusetts computer companies.  In all fairness it wasn't their primary business.  Or well, it didn't end up being their business.  Although they also contributed to MUMPS as well!

Whereas I just ignored a lot of the distinctions I probably should've paid attention to, strictly speaking.

Ahhh, okay.  LGP-30-sama is probably going to be more of an expansion than a proper revision.  Probably get around to her after developing the Japanese IAS derivatives I've been reading about.

That feels like occult DEC beliefs.

He's the memory drum that stepped up(?)

How much do I need to pay you for Selectric-kun "The wrong OS-tan in the right place can make all the difference." mode?

Quote from: Hālian on July 05, 2025, 09:41:12 PMMaybe she's in charge of the T's timetables? :3c

I wonder when the MBTA started computerizing their systems and how...  Something to look into!

They originally were, but a conservation group got Grumman to donate the last batch waiting the torch to become artificial reef material.

Wow!  Hi again everybody!

I have escaped the corn, but the punishment is living in metro DC which is.  Alright.

Quote from: Bella on July 04, 2025, 02:02:24 PMI do envision PDP-1-tan looking & acting similar to a young Whirlwind-tan (or what she would have been like, had she had a childhood), her same optimism and energy without the filter of maturity, which would undoubtedly add layers to SAGE-tan's rage...

Speaking of which, DTSS-tan & BBN TSS-tan, from the descriptions given here!
It's funny to imagine Whirlwind-sama being a disruptive feral child like PDP-1-tan.  Maybe when she was getting swapped back and forth between services?

They look great!  I think you captured the family resemblances between all four well, while highlighting their differences.  BBNTSS-tan looks properly miserable.

Totally get that. That same motivation is part of what drove me to my current residence. Only problem is that it seems everything is urbanizing now. I've watched my town go from a population of ~4,000 to around ~13k since I've lived here. What used to be unbroken fields are all dotted with subdivisions now. Crazy times.

Those are old photos. I set up a flat top grill and such in there. Its really relaxing to go out and cook outside, watch the fireflies listen to the crickets, see the wildlife out back do its thing. I also do my therapy sessions out there when the temperature allows it because of how relaxing and peaceful it is.

Its part of why I loved out of the city into a small town with next to nothing.. its peaceful here.
