SO CUUUUUUUTE! *glomps MOS-chan and AROS-chan* :D

You've got one insanely ambitious idea there and even though it is only in its very early stages, it is still pure cute and winnage! But when/if finished, it will be... An epic OS-tan picture for the ages, man! Don't give up on it! I've done a super ambitious picture before (the Apple ][ 30th anniversary one) but completely gave up on it due to running out of inspiration and that it was months late anyways. So take it easy and do not try and have a deadline.

Silentbob

Mmmh... Scrumptious.     Good work and they're lovely.

As earlier, anything Amiga related is instant win.  :D

Raffaele the Amigan

I asked "Bitplane magazine" representatives if there is interest about such an interview, and I received a "go on".

Then they will read my interview with C-Chan and will decide if it is good stuff enough to be published...

But I think they will publish it... I had another interview with Fabio Alemagna, one of the developers of AROS and they published it (in issue 10) because my interview was superb and professional...  ;010  :smoke:

So then...

@ all and @ moderators:

Should I start this interview here in this thread, or I should create a new one just related to the "interview with C-Chan" topic?

C-Chan

Ah, good timing.
I was busy at home and programming, but have some time this evening.

Regarding your question:  the general rule of thumb is, "the fewer threads the better".  As long as the interview is held here in your thread, everything's as good as gravy.  There is no rule against lengthy posts -- just GIANT pictures (in a non-picture thread), LOTS of pictures (in a single post), and of course illegitimate content (such as piracy or porn).

===========

Speaking of which, I'll respond to the prior posts momentarily.  ;)

Added after 1 hours 6 minutes:

QuoteI... I must admit I am impressed...

You transformed my poor sketch in a beautiful girl...

You art is really superior...

Well thanks, but I do agree with Bella-hime.  I've always looked down on notions of "inferior/superior" artwork, because that's not what we need.  What we need is "quantity" -- we need everyone to contribute artwork frequently and consistently, despite the initial quality.  I feel that part of the strength behind the Japanese art boards lies in the fact that nearly everyone contributes, regardless of artistic skill (which will inevitably evolve over time with the added practice).

It's a common belief among my peers [not here] that because the Japanese produce "superior" artwork, there's no point in drawing at all since their drawings will "suck" either way and it's better to leave art to the "big boys".  A self-centered person might see this as an opportunity to become a big fish in a small pond,...

But someone a bit more socially-conscious might see this rampant Defeatism as a "disease", and one's artwork as just contributing to make it worse.  You can imagine where I think I fall into.  :(

People who draw frequently, positively and fantastically are my heroines.  :)
Since I don't draw much or contribute much anymore, I'm just an old "Has-Been" now -- it's not false modesty, just plain fact.  ;)

About the drawing, though, what are your thoughts on AROS-chan?

QuoteDon't exagerate...

Don't you forgot you were full of commitments BEFORE you were engaged into the Linux project?

So why you continued in a sooo big project if you KNEW you could not finish it?

It's called being "Macho".  ;)

Think of it as an old adventurer still desperately clinging to exciting pastimes, even well past his prime.  It was hard for me to admit that I had lost my spark, so I kept trying to pursue more pictures to see if one could jumpstart my battery.  It never came,...and once I got hooked on BASH scripting, I had to finally admit I just wasn't the same pig as before.

Since MOS-chan 2.0 is out next month, I figure I can probably still add her to the picture at least (I still need to draw Amy-chan in some way).  But once done, I'll finish up the picture, lock it up, and publish it as Final -- just so you can at least have something more concrete to show around.  Whether I can one day return to finish the background is left up to Fate,... but since I will be Open-Sourcing the picture file, anyone is free to do so in my place.

As for myself, my overly-ambitious drawing days are over.  :(

QuoteSad to read that...

Well I am actually quite proud to contribute to the Free and Open Source community.
I may not get immediate financial benefit, but it improves my computer software/hardware skills and knowledge, AND it makes me feel fulfilled and part of something greater than myself.

Besides, it's also self-penance for my years as a pirate,... not for the harm to the companies (most of whom I have no love for), but rather to the people I've helped lock into a viscious cycle of illegitimate software addiction, computer illiteracy, and over-dependence.  It'll take years to undo not only my past foolish actions, but also the handiwork of my peers, which I can see everyday in the drop-dead blank expressions of your average apathetic PC user.

QuoteWith Amiga-Sama you gave the Amiga new visibility beacuse OS-TANs are present also in international places like Wikipedia, and it will be visible almost forever (or until it will exist the WEB...)

Well,... she was at Wiki for a VERY brief time.  ;D

And yeah, there's always the risk that SOME people will eventually get their way in dismantling the "free" web.

QuoteRead it here:

http://arosshow.blogspot.com/2008/05/eric-schwartz-interview.html

Have you read it?

It is interesting and it is just kinda like I intend to interview you...

Ah yes, it is very interesting, although I admit that my replies may not be nearly as dynamic.  For one thing, I don't use a real Amiga system.  ;D

Inadvertently, I nailed the name of the AROS mascot ("Kitty"), so now I'll have to add the AROS-kitty (the animal version) to my final picture as well as an homage.  ;)

QuoteBitplane Italia magazine it is bi-monthly interviewing persons who made Amiga famous...

And believe me, you gave a little but significant visibility to Amiga.

You deserve this interview and also the most interesting thing for amigan readers is the fact that you were never (and still are not) an Amigan User...

Well I suppose if you can take it from that angle, I guess that can explain why I might be useful.  In that regard, though, Bella-hime should be praised by Multicians for creating not only a drawing of MULTICS-sama, but also an entire deep-rich backstory.  :P

All of this is pure Public Service -- I may not use Amiga, but I don't feel it right denying it visibility, especially when so many OS-tan artists at the time were focused almost entirely on Windows-tans (something which already had TOO much exposure).  Plus of course you know how education-oriented I am too -- I find it very important that people learn about history, even computer history.

QuotePerhaps had had you wanted to generate tons of messages, topics and comments about Amiga, MorphOS, etcetera, and a whole of traffic here on OS-Tans?

The moderators had had kicked out of forum both of us because of our talking only regarding Amiga and stuffing all discussions with our "very intelligent" comments we made each other for example regarding "how much tall should had being Reaction Guy"...

(Obviously I made heavy sarcasm when I said "intelligent comments").

Hahaha....  :D
No but seriously, I want ReactionGUY to be short.  I despise Absolute Perfection, so if there's to be a Flawless, Perfect Manâ,,¢, there has to be a "small" catch that prevents him from having an unending HAREM of girls that would undoubtedly follow such a Deity being.

In other words, if you don't want that, you better post up your sketches quick before my version BURNS into everyone's memories.  BWHAHAHA!!  :D

In any event, yeah I want that kind of discussion to generate tons of messages (again, we need "quantity"), and no the mods won't kick us out unless you put in the prior things mentioned.

And if you had problems with them before, it's likely because of so many (mostly LARGE) pictures you posted.  ;)

QuoteBeautiful! I see the improvements to MOS-chan, while still staying true to Raffaele's original sketch. And AROS-chan is just too darned adorable! I mean, I just want to reach in and squeeze her checks or something @.@

Squeeze away.  ^^
But don't forget,... the character design is yours.  `v'

I just gave her a new coat to reflect the new Logo.  ^^

QuoteAnd thanks for trying some of my fold techniques

Quid pro quo, my dear.  You had the courtesy to read my tutorials, so it's only natural to return the favor.  ^__~

QuoteThis sounds like an incredible idea! But...with all due respect, this would be like the Spruce Goose of pictures (in other words, very ambitious and difficult to finish). But still...that would have been awesome...

And don't forget, that wouldn't have been the ONLY overly-ambitious picture I planned to do.  Still in the works would've been the 1985 Commodore family portrait, as well as the snapshot of the UNIX base, or my rendition of Vistan along with the tiny UMPC OSes.  And let's not forget z/OS-sama.  ^^;

QuoteBTW, who is this ReactionGUY?

Amiga-san's last and presumably final boyfriend.

Raffaele has given me a whole list of male characters that could serve as Amiga-san's lovers.  Despite the fact that I may have a very different outlook about Amiga-san's personality, I do agree that she probably has no-end of would-be love interests, not only because she still has looks to kill, but also because she's unabashedly friendly and overly-trusting.  Much to C64-tan's chagrin, she would literally date anyone as long as they ask her (and aren't obviously evil).

However, it's more a Belldandy-style politeness, and she really has no interest in any of them -- and it shows especially after she puts them to work in the Binteji Renmei fields, building orphanages, doing volunteer work at a hospital, or any number of activities that Amiga-sama FAR prefers over a cumbersome love life.

For xyz reason that I won't get into yet, ReactionGUY is an exception.

Not that I plan it to be an easy love life, though,... despite that they get along beautifully with eachother, the rest of the world seems eager to meddle in the private affairs of such an abnormal couple.

QuoteYou have to focus on the people that appreciate your good deeds. Of course there are going to be those whom you don't get along with, (this I know all too well), both online and in real life. You just have to put that out of your mind. To quote a Mama Cass song...you've got to make your own kind of music. And sing your own song, even if nobody else sings along.

Okay,... who's Mama Cass?  ^^;

But yeah, I understand what you mean (hey, I did say you helped me stay out of retirement?).  ^^

My mistake, though, was that I introduced money into the factor, so it just made things more unbearable in my particular case.  For that and other reasons, I'll probably cease that until I can be sure a proper management system is seet in place.

Now that I'm in retirement,... for sure, I can just chill.  ^___~

Bella

QuoteWell thanks, but I do agree with Bella-hime. I've always looked down on notions of "inferior/superior" artwork, because that's not what we need. I feel that part of the strength behind the Japanese art boards lies in the fact that nearly everyone contributes, regardless of artistic skill (which will inevitably evolve over time with the added practice).

Exactly! I have always enjoyed seeing other people's work...even if it's not the best in the world, when one practices and gets to do a lot of drawings, they'll get better over time. I think I'd rather see a dozen mediocre, but very heartfelt, unique and well-designed works, than one great picture featuring some overly drawn character. You may be peeved by those who don't do; I am equally irritated by those who don't try.

QuoteIt's a common belief among my peers [not here] that because the Japanese produce "superior" artwork, there's no point in drawing at all since their drawings will "suck" either way and it's better to leave art to the "big boys". Oh come on. I think that you have served to inspire a lot of people here.

This forum wouldn't be what it is...our artists would be what they are...without all of us here. I think that we kinda feed off of each other's inspiration, if that makes any sense. It's like something of an incredibly drawn-out artistic jam session.

QuotePeople who draw frequently, positively and fantastically are my heroines.
Since I don't draw much or contribute much anymore, I'm just an old "Has-Been" now -- it's not false modesty, just plain fact.

You may not draw as much as you used to, but don't say you don't contribute much. As for your being a has-been...I don't believe in the concept of "has beens". You have done, which is more than a lot of people can say, and that's the important part.

QuoteIt's called being "Macho".

When you say you've lost your spark...I've had "burn outs" before. When this occurs, I find I can't even bring myself to do...what it is I do...when this happens. But I guess all artists are different and have different tolerances for this kind of event...

QuoteSince MOS-chan 2.0 is out next month, I figure I can probably still add her to the picture at least (I still need to draw Amy-chan in some way).

Honestly, I think the term "ambitious" is relative. Ambitious implies that the artist has some ambition, some expectation about the picture. I don't think I've ever done an ambitious drawing--if I have, I probably didn't finish it.

After I've done my sketch and I get to work vectorizing a picture, I try to have no expectations. I try to embrace nothingness, as it were. It can go either way; I just try to bang out the basic vector sketch, and I let this set. When I get the feeling that I want to shade it and refine it, I do so; but not until that little inner voice tells me to (ya know, the inner voice of your soul. Not in a psychotic way). But...like I said...all artists are different, so it would be foolish of me to think that this kinda mindset can work for others.

QuoteWell I am actually quite proud to contribute to the Free and Open Source community.
I may not get immediate financial benefit, but it improves my computer software/hardware skills and knowledge, AND it makes me feel fulfilled and part of something greater than myself.

And we're proud of that! Doing something selfless to help others is worth more than any amount of money.

QuoteBesides, it's also self-penance for my years as a pirate,... not for the harm to the companies (most of whom I have no love for), but rather to the people I've helped lock into a viscious cycle of illegitimate software addiction, computer illiteracy, and over-dependence. It'll take years to undo not only my past foolish actions, but also the handiwork of my peers, which I can see everyday in the drop-dead blank expressions of your average apathetic PC user.

Oooh, a dark and sordid past is revealed (jk, jk). And now you're making up for it...how very...Eli Stone-ish (vague TV reference, there) ;)

Can't say I've ever really pirated any software. I mean, sure, a friend of mine lent me his Photoshop disks to install it on my computers...but, I mean...is there a living person today who has actually payed for PS? I don't think I know one. O__O

QuoteWell I suppose if you can take it from that angle, I guess that can explain why I might be useful. In that regard, though, Bella-hime should be praised by Multicians for creating not only a drawing of MULTICS-sama, but also an entire deep-rich backstory. :P

Them Multicians are uber intimidating, though. I'd be ascared to be interviewed by them. But I am happy for any attention Multics-sama may have brought to this remarkable historical system.

QuoteHahaha....

Too late, I'm already imagining Miggy-san with a short boyfriend :3

QuoteSqueeze away. ^^

True, but I haven't given her much thought besides that original picture.

QuoteAnd don't forget, that wouldn't have been the ONLY overly-ambitious picture I planned to do. As I mentioned before, a picture is only ambitious if you make it that way. Even the biggest of projects can be broken down into separate small pictures; one character at a time.

QuoteAmiga-san's last and presumably final boyfriend.

Raffaele has given me a whole list of male characters that could serve as Amiga-san's lovers. Not that I plan it to be an easy love life, though,... despite that they get along beautifully with eachother, the rest of the world seems eager to meddle in the private affairs of such an abnormal couple.

Oh, I see. I hadn't really thought of any OS-tans having...ehrm...lovers, aside from perhaps the occassional crazy fanboy (plus, I mean, we know WAITS-san was fairly...errr...free lovin' and all)

*insert awkward silence*

But is ReactionGUY supposed to be a program-kun or something...? Cause the only OS-tan/kun pairings I've heard of are, like, ME-tan and OS 9-kun. If I were into romantic comdies, I could probably have a field day with the Windows-kuns and some of the more M$-friendly distro-tans...let us be thankful I'm no 'shipper...well, not in  open I'm not. Teheheehee ^////^

QuoteOkay,... who's Mama Cass? ^^;

Cass Elliot was a 1960s pop singer/prolifically quote-able songwriter. Lawl.

QuoteBut yeah, I understand what you mean (hey, I did say you helped me stay out of retirement?). ^^

Now that I'm in retirement,... for sure, I can just chill. ^___~

I've been trying to chill since the moment I took this hobby up. That said, I don't know how successful I am; but I try. This whole hobby for me has been a learning experience, I've discovered stuff (regarding computers) I would have never known otherwise. I've gotten to take flight astistically, like a proverbial bird upon the winds of creativity. Throughout all this, I've wanted nothing more than to have my work brighten someone's day a bit, or make them think, or to make them laugh. I've never intended to make the unknown OS-tans mainstream, to "change the world" as is were; I just want to tell my story. Whether or not that effects others, I guess, is up to them. I'm just trying to...make my own kind of music.

And my deepest regards if I sounded like a stoned hippie for the entirety of the post.  And sorry if I hijacked your thread, Raffaele ;)

C-Chan

I'm feeling a bit of deja vu, although no one but Bella-hime would know why.  ^^'
Sorry had to make you type all that [again],... just the ramblings of a crazy old pig.  ^___^'

Am currently on stand-by to see what Raffa has in store for me, but let me just answer a few of your questions...

1)  No, it really is a dark and sordid past that I don't want to look back on again.  Let's just say that its been very therapeutic being a productive member of society and an educator, rather than the kind of deadbeat that doesn't think for himself despite notions to the contrary.  In exchange I give up a few luxuries,... although overtime, they simple cease looking like luxuries.  ^_~

2)  I've actually given a ton of thought to AROS-chan, who despite being the quietest Amigoid probably has the greatest potential.  I don't remember if I ever drafted her profile here in public, but I might rewrite it again in another thread.

3) You can read more about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReAction_GUI.
But in short, ReActionGUY stands for ReAction GUI, which is a GUI toolkit for AmigaOS (in fact, its the standard toolkit for 4.0).  Think of it as comparable to GTK and QT in Linux.  ^__^

In essence, ReActionGUY-kun helps modernize Amiga-san's appearance (and to a certain extent, MOS-chan's and AROS-chan's too).  Making them a couple could probably make factual sense, although not sure if the same can be said of my notion that MOS-chan is not particularly "fond" of him.  (A running gag being that she's always trying to convince her mother to dump him in favor of a REAL man,... after which she inserts a long laundry list of colorful-but-otherwise-uninspiring ex-boyfriends, such as Zorro-kun).

4) Sometimes I wonder if I unconsciously beat myself down just to hear you sound like a "stoned hippie".  Sweet kindly optimism is music to my ears.  Thank you very much.  ^.^

Okay, that's all for now.

While I'm on standby, I'll try to work a little on this picture.
Concurrently, I'm also drawing up bits and pieces of DragonFlyBSD-tan, who is Amiga-sama's biggest fan, stalker and self-proclaimed love interest.

And naturally, she doesn't like ReActionGUY either.  `v'

MOS-Chan and AROS-Chan make no use of Reaction GUI.

They uses MUI (Magic User Intrerface)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_User_Interface

Also Amiga-Sama can make use of MUI if she loads that libraries.

MUI in my mind, is the Interface that let all three Amiga related Chans, to transform in Magic Fairies...

Reaction GUI, that with a word's joke becames Reaction GUY, it is tied (in all senses) to AMiga only to...

Other lover of Amiga_Sama is Zorro-Bus Kun...

Again it is a Joke.

Zorro Bus it is the name of the expansion card slot bus interface of original Amiga Hardware...

It was the first Autoconfiguring slot on the Market (Autoconfig = Plug & Play), 16 and 32 bit wide... It had also DMA (Direct Memory Access) capabilites and it could also working Asynchronously (this means it could work without asking continuously permission to CPU to write in RAM)

As it was so smart, it was nicknamed ZORRO...

And I think that a Zorro-Bus Kun could be an interesting funny Amiga KUN boy dating Amiga-Sama...  ;010

Well true, it's not the standard on them,... but given that MUI and ReAction share the same ancestor, and given that Amiga can make use of MUI (provided the libraries are loaded), I assumed the same could be done with AROS/MorphOS.  As a Linux example, you can build and execute a GTK+ program in KDE (provided it contains the minimum GTK libraries) irrespective of the fact that 95% of the desktop environment as built with QT.  :)

Whether it would be practical to do so (especially on small, lightweight AROS-chan) is another matter altogether.  ^^'

Ah, but half the beauty of the OS-tan world is that you create situations that normally wouldn't happen in real life.  Windows ME and Mac OS9 would not like eachother at all, and yet they're shown as somehow a couple.,  ;)

OSX Puma is in real life tossed in the garbage along with all the other early OSX releases,... but here we deify her, and pair her with every single Mac-tan that has ever walked the earth.  ^.^

Likewise, MOS-chan may not use ReAction in real life -- but in the storyline, it would be impossible for Amiga-sama to have a boyfriend without MOS-chan knowing about it.  `v'

And likewise, Zorro-kun was dumped ages ago, but somehow fails to get the message and keeps trying to fish for a date.  MOS-chan USED to hate his guts,... but with ReAction GUY to deal with, she'd rather pair her mother back with the normal-sized, faux-Spanish spouting male chauvinist , rather than the kind and noble shrimp that is her current boyfriend.  ^^;

In any event, I saw that you really DID make a new thread after all.  Guess it can't be helped, so I'll go ahead and post my reply there.  ^^;

No they did not share anything...

Are two completely different systems and realized by competitor firms...

MUI is more open than Reaction GUI, that is a very fundamentalist system one...

Makers of Reaction GUI do not want the software realized with this GUI engine to run on MorphOS, neither on AROS.

There is a war out there in the Amiga community which splitted since 2001.

Blue camp, supporting MorphOS, and Red Camp supporting AmigaOS...

Black camp is supporting AROS...

Blue camp supporters and red camp supporters consider AROS black camp as a bastard son...

It is a sort of religion war, you know...

Do not force any story between MOS-CHAN and Reaction GUI/GUY...

You could find that Amigans could became very impolite...

You are adviced. I could not control reactions from amigan fundamentalists...

She has no relations at all with Reaction GUY, as she makes no use of that interface library, and Zorro Bus was dropped ages ago with Amiga 4000...

Actual AmigaONE running AmigaOS and Pegasos II running MorphOS make use of PCI-BUS...

Ah, but half the beauty of the OS-tan world is that you create situations that normally wouldn't happen in real life.  Windows ME and Mac OS9 would not like eachother at all, and yet they're shown as somehow a couple.,  ;)

I consider these facts sure fantasizing a bit...

But also I forgot that MorphOS can run also on ancient Amiga models equipped with PPC Accelerator Cards...

So yes... Zorro Bus could meet MorphOS...

...While Reaction GUI can't...

Quote
Likewise, MOS-chan may not use ReAction in real life -- but in the storyline, it would be impossible for Amiga-sama to have a boyfriend without MOS-chan knowing about it.  `v'

Sure two different OSs could meet each other...

Quote
And likewise, Zorro-kun was dumped ages ago, but somehow fails to get the message and keeps trying to fish for a date.  MOS-chan USED to hate his guts,... but with ReAction GUY to deal with, she'd rather pair her mother back with the normal-sized, faux-Spanish spouting male chauvinist , rather than the kind and noble shrimp that is her current boyfriend.  ^^;

Sorry,... only have enough time to dump this here real quick...

Had a burst of inspiration, enough to get [a younger version of] MOS2.0-chan on screen, as well as some cameos of Amy-chan, AROS-kitty and one of MOS-chan's butterflies.

This should about do it for the groundwork -- once I add in the shading, highlighting and perhaps a background with at least hints of the original scenery I wanted, then I think this picture will be considered finished.  ;)

See y'all later.

PS:  Oh, and fyi, AROS Kitty is apparently suffering from LongCat-syndrome.

Why you said that?

Aros Kitty arms and legs are black on black...

If you enhance and evidence it, then you wull see it is perfectly normal cat...

[SEE ATTACHED FILE]

(Excuse me for the LAME drawing... I just intended to point the fact that AROS Kitty seems to me quite normal...)

HOW BEAUTIFUL!

Sure C-Chan made a very goooood artwork here!

Young MOS 2.0 is really pretty cute...  ;019  ;019  ;019

My congratulations...  ;012

Also here I made a little rendering of all three Chans, with Vesuvio vulcan in the background, just to insert the girls in a detailed ambient...

Also...

C-Chan?

Bella?

Can you please indicate me some of your countries most known and beautiful places?

I will search the 3D DEM files and will render it, inserting the Girls in that scenes, to honour your nations too.

I need very known places as mountains, gulfs, touristic sides...

(Something that it is worth rendering in 3D)

I need also the names of the Places, and maybe earth coordinates.

(Well, having the names of the places I could then found coordinates by myself)...  ;012

To C-Chan... What is the name of the famous Volcano that could be spotted from Mexico City???

Hope that you all will enjoy this little joke composite image...  ;010

-----

C-Chan, please I need an important information...

Is your image intended to be distributable?

Can I use it to show the Amiga fans that detailed MOS-Chans and AROS Chan exist?

P.S.:

Important too...

Can you send me by e-mail or private message a copy of your original Inkscape vector image, so I could continue using vector paint programs to enhance it, if you are too busy with your Linux job?

Thanks in anticipation...  ;hi

Awww crap, you're right, I failed.
She's supposed to look like the famous LongCat.... ;D

Ah well, I guess she's fine regardless.

Originally I had intentions of having MOS2-chan ONLY carry Amy-chan -- however, in order to make the process faster, I had all the Amigoid animals convene on her.  The idea is that, because she's the youngest, they've all endeared themselves to her.

Well thank you, Raffaele.  :)
Had I known you were going to stick them on a background, I would have submitted a transparent PNG.  Perhaps to save time, I could have you supply the background -- certainly would be faster than drawing one from scratch.  :D

Well as far as natural beauty is concerned, you can pretty much throw a dart on the map and find something beautiful.  :P

Somehow I can picture them visiting Palenque, although if water is concerned you can try any of the coastal cities like Veracruz, Merida, and Campeche.  For something more touristy (that's not Acapulco), try Cabo San Lucas for some stunning Pacific scenery.

QuoteTo C-Chan... What is the name of the famous Volcano that could be spotted from Mexico City???

Why the Popocatepetl of course.  ;D
Kinda look like Mt. Fuji, no?  (fufufufu...)  :P

...actually, it might, but Iztaccíhuatl's in the way.  Click here for a quick explanation of the legend about the two "lovers":

Well normally yes, but not that one cause it's not finished yet.  ;)
I wouldn't be caught dead publicizing such a flat image -- already had enough embarrasment when my unfinished picture of BeOS-tan and Viru-tan wound up at +Nijura+ (and took away attention from the actual finished product).  :(

Give me about 2 days, and I can not only supply you with the full finished product, but also a public copy of the source SVG file which you can distribute to other interested Amigans/MOSers/AROSers.  If in the unlikely event I later add Amiga-sama to the picture, I can update it accordingly -- but if not, then at least it can be worked on by others.  :)

Uhh.. Were you really intending for a 'Longcat' AROS kitty? 0__0

Also in this photo seems to me perfectly long cat...

Cats have a very long body...

But sure this one in the photo is not a cat with such an exaggerate long dorsal spine, that could reveal genetical disease problems and over-stretched bones...

Well... I could not resist...

Three beautiful girls and still no background...

And do not worry...

Once you created a png image, it is easy to make big areas of color as transparent...

As far I known these Pacific zones of Mexico are quite flat, and have no elevation mountains that could be used as really reckognizable in  a 3D rendered scene...

Can you confirm or deny this fact?

Maybe Acapulco has the famous rock on the ocean, used for the jumpings of swimmers...

Should see if it could be rendered well, but the DEM files are not so detailed. to show it..  ;014

Palenque? Palenque, Palenque...

Hum... VistaPro 3D rendering program once was famous for being capable of rendering realistic Aztec and Mayan Pyramids...

And once there is a free version of VistaPro on an Amiga magazine floppy disk...

Should found it in my collection...

Thanks... Some hours ago I found it by googlesearching...

Unfortunately I did not remember full name, beacuse Popocatepetl for us italian speakers sounds like a tongue twister...  o_o

Bella

Oooh, you did make MOS 2.0-chan a separate character. SO...MOE...IMA...DIE!!! @.@

I really like the butterfly and squirrel. And the cat...ah, the look on that cat's face is golden (and I love the little tuft of white hair on her head). I really like the folding on her skirt, too :3

There are a lot of very scenic places in America...it would be neat if you could look for some DEM with a landmark from the northeast part of the US (where I live); if you could find a file for the White Mountains or something, that'd be excellent. :)
