Hmm...I'd say Linux Mint if you can handle WINE to anyd degree, otherwise any 32-bit Windows, NT's included, should work fine.
YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS

Chocofreak13

just do like i did, and opt for the x86-bit version of Win7. this way, i still have the capabilities to run newer stuff, but i can run my old games too. :3

Linux Mint is awesome, I wish I had a computer capable of running it. (Is installed on k8, but she won't stay on for more than a few minutes >__>)

OSX 10.6, still. When you have the best, why use anything else. owo

Aurora Borealis

I'm still using 10.5. I just never got to upgrading, in part because Inkscape 0.46 doesn't work with 10.6. :(

Bella

...huh? I had Inkscape 0.46 installed... now I have 0.47.

Aurora Borealis

Back when 10.6 was released, I heard that from articles about its compatibility with major apps was that it didn't support Inkscape 0.46. Oops. ^^;

They're both free, so why the hell are you spending money on them?

I'm getting the disks and they both cost money.
Well whatever, probably not gonna get it.

It's a valid question, but you shouldn't be so snippy about it. :  |

Personally, I don't get why anyone would send away for any Linux CDs - I mean, even with a slow connection a download might take a few hours, while it could be weeeeeeeks before you get your CDR in the mail. And there's the matter of S&H... >______>

Red-Machine

Ubuntu costs nothing to be shipped to you.  I got mine for free.

But. I. don't. know. why.

Whyyyyyy would anybody send away for a CDR when they could just download it and have instant (or, helluva lot quicker than snail-mail) gratification?! : \

huh. weird. I had to pay for mine and I got them off the ubuntu website.

I burned Lubuntu to a CD and ran it for a trial run on my computer. I LOVED IT. I'm installing it right now. So far, Lubuntu is my all-time favorite
