@Stew: Turkey plant? Turkeys are made on assembly lines? :V

One day you'll come to New Hampshire and we will TAKE YOU ON AN EPIC TOUR AND TRY NOT TO GET ATTACKED BY BEARS OR HILLFOLK!

@Choco: NO, YOU COME UP HERE TO THE WILD PARTY COLLEGE AND STUDY! I don't hate you Kari I'm just a little shy. And here-bound, the last time I left our area was maybe in December. D:

Maybe when I get over my fear of driving I'll drive over and visit you~ I'm resolving to get over my automobileaphobia by this winter so help me god. ><;;

I look forward to graduating. SATs, however, scare the living hell out of me, mainly because tests have been known to induce fainting in me.

You should visit a dentist if your mouth is bothering you so badly. ;; I just went to the dentist today, got a clean bill of health. I'm very obsessive about my teeth and get them checked out twice a year no matter what...

Speaaaaaking of awkward times, my grandfolks are showing up tomorrow. I'm slightly afraid, because... er... oh, hell, I don't even wanna get into it. Let's just put it this way, clashing personalities are bad, but clashing personalities and pretentiousness is a recipe for all sorts of... okay, I don't know how to end that sentence.

@Zen: Those are lovely loli-goth pictures on your blog. :D

stewartsage

No, but they are prepared in a manner resembeling an assembly line.  Besides, my job would be taking care of chicks.  As in baby chickens >>

I DON'T EVEN NO WHERE THAT IS SO I CAN'T D:  Is UMaine Farmington close enough?

I took the ACT first, without a calculator.  And I'm terrible at math.  SATs didn't really bother me all that much.  As far as I can remember, it's mostly a blur.

Bacon is always a solid way to finish a sentence.  Writing 101 brought to you by-

SleepyD

SATs?
oh dear, you're making me feel old.
They're not that bad. just... long and tedious. That's what I remember anyway.

I was in the first group of people to take the "new" SAT with the writing portion.  Took it twice. second time after an SAT-prep class, and I had a 100 pt improvement in my writing score. \^o^/ My math test scores were always high, so I didn't really think about that too much... might be why I'm an engineer now. (although, applying calculus to engineering problems is a pain to my brain most of the time)

One of these days I'll pay a visit to the east coast...
for now, I'm settling on trips to downtown LA, and a trip across the Atlantic (the other pond I have yet to cross) that my uncle seems to have bought as my graduation gift.

Red-Machine

Indeed.  I haven't done SATS tests in donkeys years.  I feel old a lot tho, like when I see or hear a song I remember the day it came out.

SO I HAVE A SKYPE NOW *_*
My my, aren't you lovely~

Bella

A baby chick assembly line? KAWAIDESU~

Farmington? Naw, you're off by miiiiiiles. :V

My grandparents are here now... it's been pretty cool so far. They didn't find the typewriter (buried too deep in the attic ;____;), but they did bring boxes and boxes full of old family trinkets. There's a Polaroid camera from 1959, some retrotastic 70s clocks and an AM radio and jewelry, and a bunch of my brother's old toys, art supplies (some of which are still good lol) and some militaria... had a ton of fun going through the boxes, it was like a time capsule. :D

Somehow gramps and I started talking about old computers, apparently he used those mechanical fire-control computers extensively and was about to take classes on actual computers (or, you know, the electronic kind) when the War ended. Then he talked about the computers he saw when he worked for GM, and then about how much vacuum tubes sucked.

It was a good conversation.

BACON.

zjhentohlauedy

AWESOME BELLA >____<

i soooo wanna dig in old storages and stuff >_< lots of things you'll find.

I feel like a kid whenever i do that XD
My my, aren't you lovely~

stewartsage

Ha, yeah.

I know, but I can't think of any New Hampshire schools other then Dartmouth..... is it Dartmouth?

Sweet!  It can meet my 60's Polaroid!  The very mention of militaria makes my heart feel all warm and happy..... who says I'm weird?

No no, Bacon is a sentance ender.  Add eggs, there's a post wrap up!

Bella

I love digging through old storage boxes too, it's always such an exciting adventure~ ^^

It is not Darthmouth. Think, more centre of the state...  a whole lot less Ivy League... shares a name with that place in Mass where the first pilgrims landed... ^^;;

(Well, technically, it shares a name with its town, which in turn is named after that place where the pilgrims landed. If you wanna talk up semantics.)

Huzzah for old cameras! :D I've a Speed Graphic from the 1920s, and it was still IN USE until a few years ago. Can't find film for it anymore and now it's just sort of a decorative piece. There are patches and some sort of Air Force hat, they seem to think it's an Air Corps hat but I think it looks newer, not that any of us have much knowledge on the subject. (And, apparently, my dad has the rest of the uniform somewhere...)

Stop talking about bacon and eggs I'm getting hungry D:

zjhentohlauedy

bella's an antique junkieeee XD

i have 4 really old camerassss really old D:
2 polaroids that like folds up, and one that's like bigger than my pc i think *_*
My my, aren't you lovely~

Lolololol, I noticed that the moment I reviewed my post. >XD

I found a bunch of old (50s-thru-70s) family photos in the camera case, maybe I'll post a few in /member picture/ d:

Anyway... today we were supposed to visit Boston but the weather derailed our plans. So Concord 'twas.

We visited the Museum of New Hampshire History (to which grandfather said: "can't I just stay in the car and sleep?"). It's a tiny museum but very interesting, highlighting the history of NH from its earliest Native American residents to the modern day, plenty of artifacts and gorgeous works of art and fun historical tidbits... and NHite inventions/NH's part in industry as well.

For instance: the earliest revolver prototype ever (before Colt) was designed in the state, the Segway scooter is a NH invention (they had the original prototype on display) and apparently, the VAX 11/780 minicomputer was designed in NH by a group of engineers exported to the state by DEC. For some reason. (No VAX on display... that wouldn've been cool.... but there were photos! ;v; ) You know what that means, OpenVMS is practically ours~!

We're going to try to go Boston tomorrow. If I can get these people to go to bed soon and get up early, that is. ><;;;
