it's still really early in, and we need the money BADLY. not to mention i'm honoured she'd even CONSIDER me, so i'm also thrilled, if annoyed. if nothing else, Steve is happy to chime in and mediate (basically tell her, "YOUR IDEA SUCKS!", but in a joking way because they're best friends), so it'll be okay. i just hope we can actually make progress tomorrow, cause tonight didn't get us anywhere. >>;

just now (literally, just a minute or two ago) got a text from Steve saying he's been scheduled on the fly to work tomorrow AND sunday and i had actually held off on making a big fancy dinner i was going to make yesterday so we could have something nice to eat on Halloween. he doesn't get out till 10, and he said that he's still on for it if i don't mind a late dinner, but i really don't know if i feel like cooking Ham and Potatoes that late. that's a lot of work when you don't even have an oven. >>;

(also he's currently working so no D&D game for the kids today and one of the library assistant jobs i applied to is no longer taking applications so blaaaaah fuck today)

Also: an underclassman acquaintance attempted to ask me out. I was swift yet polite in explaining I was already very taken, which was probably more socially acceptable than shouting "NO, SENPAI WILL NOT NOTICE YOU".
