@leaf: was it a Golden Stone? or a Silver Stone?
@pent: true.
@stew: how are you posting right now? via phone? :[
@bells: just something towards the upper shell, likely straight through the flat part. simple.

@Kari: Ah, I see. I'm not sure about placement yet, which is one of the reasons I'd probably hold off on getting a cartilage piercing. I'm leaning toward something like a 7 or 8 on this chart however.

Industrial piercings are really cool looking, but I don't think I could handle one — pain-wise, care-wise OR in terms of ear shape. (My ears don't have a prominent "curl" like in that photograph, they're somewhat flat on the edges.)

I feel like I barely slept :\
I'd go back to sleep, but then I might oversleep and miss work

sks963

I cant define that im strong life ,but my lifeblood is certainly hard.

With my dad @ the dentist. It's like everything on this freaking dentist's office is designed to cause the maximum amount of annoyance possible. Also it's on a farm. So there's that

Also i think my throat pain may be one of my tonsils acting up? It's very localized and only on one side. It hurts to speak much or eat. Ffffffffffffffff.

Nichi

@Bella: ...a dentist's office on a farm? I'd honestly be afraid of that .___.;

@SK: I believe it's a video game convention? Duko would be able to provide a better answer

So far, today is alright; barring lack of sleep and minor irritations with my boss :\

Bella

The dentist was messing around on a backhoe when we first got here, lel.

He's actually the dentist I used to go to when we first moved here but I quit seeing after doubts about his sanity and competence. Dad's here because he had a dental emergency and no other doctor could see him today.

There's a climate change denialism book in the waiting room I desperately want to disappear because if there's one thing I won't stand for, it's science denialism. But there are people around. >_>

Nichi

...wow. Sounds like you found yourself in a looney bin of a doctor's office .____.;

NejinOniwa

I was with myself @ the dentist earlier today as well. Conveniently he is no loony, but my sister's BF's dad. Gonna go back there next week to get stuff done.
YOU COULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS

so one of my friends killed themselves
What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's an oyster with two figures of your favorite Touhou characters. Look again, the figures are now vials of the Hourai Elixir. Anything is possible when your waifu smells like Old World and not a man. I'm a frog.

*hug* may i ask what the bloody fucking hell happened?

@bells:
by any chance, was this the dentist your dad was seeing?
also, in terms of cartilage piercings, i'd be looking at a 9.
@SK: it's a convention. here's the website.

i went to bed at 6am today. woke at 10am. raced up to get arty (was stuck behind a mercedes top-down convertible going 25mph for the ENTIRE FUCKING WAY), got back and set her to work making dumplings (she had the good sense to call my mum on the way and get her to start cooking the chicken). i got to sewing, and we both finished a tad late, leaving at 12:30 (after i got cleaned up). today was the library anime club's kickoff party, an asian potluck. despite us being (slightly) late everything went off without a hitch, with the kids voting on their favourite series and afterwards watching Poyo Poyo. as we were leaving, i noticed 2 of the pelham club kids hanging outside, as it turns out they didn't get the time-change email in time, so, feeling bad for them, i ushered them inside to meet some of the windham club kids, gave them some dumplings, and a bottle of water each (in addition to the year's schedule thus far). the kids picked out Princess Jellyfish as their first series (surprisingly, i didn't expect that one to fly :0 ). afterward, i drove arty home......till i realized i forgot to take brownie out. i raced over to salem (arty in tow) to let the dog out just as Ms. Clark got home ( ;^; ), thankfully she hadn't gone in the house and was very happy to see us. drove BACK to derry, dropped off arty, then headed home where i did dishes. am now too mentally active to sleep. will likely crash without warning later. am currently wearing the yukata and hakama i made, they are the comfiest fucking shit. -w-

incredibly long story but short: she killed her girlfriend by accident when she was 21, has been living rent-free with a psychiatric doctor for the past 3 years, killed herself on August 18, 2014, in Argentina. she was a wonderful person that just suffered an incredibly bad upbringing and a shitty playout of life events. i can't hold it against her, she really was suffering, but she's hurt a lot of people with her loss.

@Cockle: *hug*

@Kari: Sounds like you had a good day :3

Work was ok; mostly bitter about the parents' refusal to understand my financial situation (Yes; I can totally afford a brand new car with full coverage insurance and still be able to keep my phone active and move out of their house when I'm making less at Walmart than I was at the hospital 3 years ago </sarcasm>). Mom's convinced that any vehicle bought not at a dealership is automatically a lemon; somehow ignoring the fact the van I'm driving right now was bought secondhand >_>;

@cockle: i can understand the bittersweet feeling there, since while you may be happy she's not hurting, you're sad that she's not there.

the sucky thing about most peoples' thoughts on others committing suicide is that they're selfish pricks for "not thinking of what they're leaving behind", despite most suicides weighing that HEAVILY before they finally give into the pain. some may even see themselves as lifting a burden off their loved ones by killing themselves.

i'm glad you at least have the maturity to understand the other side of the coin here. most people don't.

@pent: there isn't ANYONE else you can ask to come with you? your brother in law, a friend, etc etc? :\

EDIT: so i was friended by my mum's cousin in canada (accepted as an acquaintance), and he added me to the family genealogy group on facebook. i'm reading some of the family history that another mum cousin (out in vegas) posted, and it turns out my great-grandpa (grandpa's dad) died at 34, in 1935. if i recall the story correctly, he was a park ranger that either had a heart attack or an allergic reaction to a bee sting while out in the woods and crawled to a nearby cabin for help, but died on their steps. despite the tragedy and early loss, though, he still managed to sire seven kids. o__o;

(4 boys, 3 girls. my grandpa was kid #5, and apparently his younger sister Mary (kid #6) died of leukemia (according to him) when she was 18, a week before her birthday. ;^; )

Interesting.

Also, my sister might have helped turn things in my favor on going to look at that car...if those people will reply quickly enough, as dad has plans later this afternoon :\
Also also, mom's off work for no reason >_>;
