@Aurora: I know the feeling. Haven't updated my personal tumblr in the longest time. To be honest, I got burnt out seeing argument after argument roll through my dashboard ... I feel like many parts of the community (well, social justice / social issues circles) are turning toxic and honestly I don't have the patience or mental fortitude to deal with it all.

That said my retro technology blog is still going strong. So all's not lost.

Gonna have to agree with you on the fandom thing ... I'd like to get involved in some of the "communities" there but they seem so insular ... /sigh

EDIT: So I'm honestly debating what to do right now, as far as work. My boss at Pizza Hut isn't budging on changing my schedule, insisting I change Wal-Mart's schedule...which is set 3 weeks in advance. Bro-in-law isn't able to do much about it, so honestly I'm left trying to decide if I should just try to fight with it until I can get into school and then leave Wal-Mart to focus on it (As I don't intend to stay on through Black Friday; they cannot pay me enough to make that hell worthwhile), or leave Pizza Hut and then be stuck juggling Wal-Mart and school unless I can get on at the hospital or something >_>;;

Jumping back to 2011, shortly before I returned to OSC, my original boss at the hospital (Whom I greatly liked; he was a cool guy) was fired over some bullshit, and was replaced with this guy that seemed to hate me from the instant he laid eyes on me...or so it seemed. Apparently, he did like me, but because my mom was in the same department, and she did not like him in the least, he decided to take it out on me and make my life hell. I put up with that for a year following that; putting up with hour cuts and schedule shifts.

In early 2012, after successfully having dad reason with mom about it, I was able to book my flight and take a trip up north to visit Kari. So, I put in the paperwork to have that week off; which might have had some leverage in the hospital's decision to get rid of me. Come April 2012, just a few days after my birthday no less, my boss had me fired over some bullshit reasoning (That I didn't get the beds out of the hallways...nevermind the soiled utility rooms were packed to complicity and the nurses needed these IV pumps stat. Also, my sister's father-in-law stopping me to make me watch some music video he had on his Zune* didn't help matters much >_>; ).
*Yes, he owns a Zune. He's probably the only person on the planet to like that thing

However, the HR rep had known about the whole story with the troubles I faced with my boss, so after he left the room, she went in and changed the info on me to say "laid off due to budget cuts", so I could come back if I ever wanted to. Thus, I began to collect unemployment and began job hunting; taking it more seriously after my vacation.

It was a special kind of hell; nobody seemed to want to hire me, mom was constantly badgering me about how I'm "not trying hard enough" to get a job, and I was slowly starting to go crazy from the stress. It finally got down to the point that I had to have a job by the end of the year or else I'd lose my unemployment, so I began putting out applications at McDonald's in a vein effort to get anything...and that's when bro-in-law stepped in; getting me on at Pizza Hut in November 2012. I've been there since, through good and bad.

I did briefly work for Gamestop from October 2013 to March 2014; ended up leaving there after my boss was fired and every last one of my coworkers walked out, on top of many of our customers boycotting the store over this and taking their business down the street to Game-X-Change. It felt like a sinking ship, so I bailed out quickly; haven't set foot in the store since I picked up my final paycheck.

EDIT: So, my plans to stay on at Pizza Hut while in school might be fucked. Bro-in-law, whom is the major push for me not getting fired, is considering quitting. Yaaaaaaaaaaay; that means I'd have nothing to keep me from getting fired at Pizza Hut, meaning I'll be stuck at Wal-Mart through Black Friday unless the hospital is able to get me out of there. I have to wonder if this is just my sister trying to fuck me over under the guise of "helping", since IDK if bro-in-law even has another job lined up yet.

Honestly, going to school might be a mistake if I end up stuck at Hell-Mart; there's no way I can actually learn anything when I'm also juggling an 8+ hour slave job that always leaves me drained physically, mentally, and emotionally by the time I head home.

good to hear from you, guys. i'm currently at a laundromat in gardner, mass.

weekend: spend time cleaning/unpacking, chat with mum about getting psych appointment postponed so i can stay to help a little longer. get info on various isps in area, forced to wait till monday to call them. get chemical burns on hands/possibly feet/possibly lungs from overusing bleach cleaner in bathroom.

monday: wake up early, breakfast and anime until we leave at 11. go to fitchburg hospital, have ben make some calls while i hang out. go down to gardner to hit up salvation army for some stuff (another pan, some bowls, etc). i end up purchasing a plastic tupperware container and a beatrix potter pop up book. go down street to laundromat while ben waits in car to argue with car company that sold him the lemon car. leave off here, idk what we're doing next.

glad to see everyone is (mostly) well. there'll be a new review tomorrow on the blog (i forgot i preprogrammed one ^^; ). likely going to stay here till monday night.

TBH I easily get paranoid and think everyone is actively conspiring against me, when something happens that conveniently lines up with what they want me to do. I mean, I still wonder if my mom really did intricately plan out how to ruin my life :\

So, currently planning to get a car, then get the fuck out of Wal-Mart and to one of the hospitals in Tyler, and then begin focusing on school.
