IN THE NOW: The entire nation is roiling due to ROYAL WEDDING in progress. Stuck at tv screen for lulz, and potential niceness in character design inspiration.

so i'm eating this peach, and i just realized i'm eating it in a spiral. .___.;

the world has lost come colour since pip died......it's like there's something missing, and everyone is feeling the funk. (except my dad, he just doesn't care)

well, i've been busy, so at least i can throw myself into this work.
it's still suckish though. think i got out pretty much all the weepies yesterday and am now left in a state of "meh".

i get to go swimming later today. that's nice, i guess.

RED ALERT PEOPLE: A squirrel has breached the house, I repeat, a squirrel has breached the house. I hear the mofo rattling around in the attic as we speak ><;;;

Oh yeah, and I think I've reached rock-bottom. I ate a HALF A CAN OF SPAM for lunch today. I will sit in a corner and weep now.

To reply to some older things (whoooohoooo dredging up the past!):

@Zen: Looks like you had a fun trip to Caliraya. :D Hmm, I'd never heard of rambutans until now... they look really weird. What do they taste like? @@

@Kari: I know CT isn't so bad, that's about the only thing I do know about it. I visited there a ton as a little kid, but I forget most of the details... D:

It's rough losing a pet... they really do become like family members. I've only lost one so far, my dog Chewy died when I was 9 or 10 maybe. She was old and sick and I wasn't too sad when she died... but when we had a funeral for her, this whole flood of emotion swept over me and I was crying all the sudden.  I wasn't even particularly close with her...

And there was my grandmother's cat, Kamir... this big, beautiful grey Persian-mix type. Although she wasn't mine, I bonded with her and was devastated when I found out she died... :(

@Stewart: My facebook profile reflects nothing, 'cause I got kicked off the site for providing the wrong password. T____T Nah, actually I made a new account, but I don't have any friends or pictures up or anything really, cause I'm lazy-ass and all. ><;

Awesome is in the eye of the beholder... getting paid to wander the countryside and take photos is great and all, but I wouldn't call the camping (read: RVing) aspect of things particularly charming, what with its chronic TV/internets/phone/occasionally electricity and running water deprivation and all. Dx

You forgot frozen lemonade and coffee-milk and a disturbingly proud Family Guy fandom!

@Nejin: Sorry about your bike. Are you going to be able to get a replacement through insurance or whatever? D:

Facebook is a plague upon our glorious internet. May the wrath of the code fall upon all those who fall prey to its lure.

Sorry to hear about your cat Kari :(

So today was my Great Aunt's 90th Birthday picnic, she's turning.... 90.  That meant about two tons of delicious food and desserts and all sorts of family summer time goodness.  Tomorrow being Fathers Day, everyone is coming to our house to celebrate that and my birthday.  Annnd I also failed to get a decent haircut for about the third time in a row ><

@Bella & Red: You should both add me, no matter what Nej says.

Well, if I get the job I'm being interviewed for Monday my job will consist of getting up at six in the morning and taking care of chicks (or the equipment neccesary to keep them alive).

They have coffee milk there too!?!?  I mean, of course, how could I forget.

Bella

So I'm a paragraph away from ending one of my written works, but I can't decide on the proper wording for the it. Arrrrgh. D:

@Nej: yeah, I'm no fan of facebook either, but then again it does seem better than some of the other social networking sites. MySpace, for example. Most of my friends + relatives are on that one, but I refuse... REFUSE... to get a MySpace. If THEY want to socially network with me, they can email me or phone me or write me. ><;

@Red: I'll PM you my facebook. Plz don't laugh at its state of disrepair... ;;

@Stew: Wow, 90 years old. I don't think I have any family members who have lived that long, although I can totally envision my grandpa living to a hundred or more. He's very healthy. But anyway, glad you had fun. :D

Dammit, tomorrow's Fathers Day? Yey, happy birthday! Maybe you'll get a haircut as a gift! :P

Er, should I pm you my facebook too? My sleuthery skills are no good (heck, I can't even find one of my friends even with her full name and email address) .____.

Getting up at six in the morning and taking care of chicks? What kind of chicks?! Are they hot chicks? Cute chicks? Single chicks? Are you going to be, like, an assistant to a woman's volleyball team or dance troupe of somethin.... oh, wait, you mean the avian kind of chick. Thaaaaat's right.

YES THEY HAVE COFFEE MILK ITS THE STATE DRINK~! :U

Squirrelageddon update: I haven't heard from the rodent home intruder for a few hours now, maybe it got bored and left. Or maybe it heard that my brother, the confirmed squirrel-fighting ace of the county, was going to pay it a little visit and died of fright. >:3

Chocofreak13

hmm, coffee milk. not one of my favs.

add mee onn FBee. Just look for "Kari Jones-Little".

thanks for your condolences, everyone. it's so goddamn depressing, i feel like i'm sick of existing.

i love nature, just not sleeping in it. >___<
@stew: congrats? 90 is an impressive milestone, the one i went to today (cousin's fiancee's birthday) is only 1/3 of that.
@bell: CT has a buttload of nature. i'm probably going down there (either there, RI, or MA, probably CT) this august to harvest hemlock.
and if it's any consolation, i think there might still be a mouse in my room. oh joy. >___< (good luck with the written part too. :3)
@nej: i think it's moar about choice.
@red: ADDS FB YESH :3

I just had one of the worse nights... as far as sleep is concerned... of my life. ><;;;

I didn't get any sleep ALL NIGHT, ended up sitting outside to watch the sunrise... it gets light here by 4:30/5:00 am, but the sun doesn't rise above the mountains until a half hour later maybe... then I went to bed, but the GOTTDAMN SQUIRREL kept me up with its tap-dancing in the attic. By 7-ish I was in the midst of a huge emotional freak-out, I get pretty horrifying when I'm overtired.

Craziest thing? I was in this EXACT same position exactly one year. I remember it well. The night of June 19 2009 I didn't get a moment of sleep, ended up chatting with my insomniacking friends/friends in different time zones the entire night. D:

Facebook status: I finally have some (but not all) of my likes up. Damn, those are difficult... I like so many things... xD

And Kari and Red have been friended. Still trying to find my lost New Jerseyite friend + aunt + cousin who dragged me to facebook in the first place, why do these people have to use pseudonyms and change emails every six months?!

stewartsage

@Bella: Yeah, Aunt Frucie's in pretty good shape, I can definitely see her making it to a century.  My Great Uncle Stanley died earlier this year though, he was an awesome guy.  Was in the Army Air Forces in World War Two, worked for NACA and NASA as an rocket engineer after the war.

Yep! I only remember sense it's the day before my birthday ^^'  Maybe, but getting hired would be a really awesome gift too.

That would probably be the best option, or I could pm you mine?

*sigh* Yeah.  Oh well, at least I'd get a discount on turkey and chicken products.

OH OF COURSE!

The squirrels know I'm armed, they haven't been around.

Oh no insomnia!  For me at least, lack of sleep doesn't really bother me all that much.  Maybe because my sleep schedule hasn't been normal since middle school.  Seems my body has forgotten how the whole sleeping at night thing's supposed to work.

@Kari: Done

Happy birthday to them too!

Chocofreak13

i haven't pulled an all-nighter in awhile.....usually those are spent doing stupid things on the interwebs, like playing turbo granny at 3 am or having nej drag me into a wiki walk about touhou at 7 am, after i have spent the entire previous night/early morn on the internetz.

@Stew: discount turkey, huh? GUESS WHO'S BUYING THANKSGIVING, GUISE~
@bell: poor, poor thing. *pat pat* there, there, just set a have-a-heart trap and you'll be fine. ^^
and don't worry. i tend to get crazy-emotional-wrecking-stage sometimes too. it's normal. :3

i gave my dad his father's day gift and he liked it and it's in front of the blueberry bush now ^^

Bella

@Stew: Sorry about your uncle... but wow, a rocket scientist? Both of my grandfathers were in the service during World War II, my patrilineal grandfather (who was in the Navy) never saw any fighting because the war ended before he was deployed. My matrilineal grandfather drove a Sherman deathtrap, er, tank in the European theatre and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He narrowly escaped death when his tank got hit, ended up with a Purple Heart because of it.

I'll pm you my facebook then. Or at least give you a way to find it...

Good for you? Going without sleep (or too little sleep) either turns me very hostile or very sleepwalker-like, I've been used to 9-hours of sleep a day since I was a little kid.

I sometimes say that I would go without sleep if I didn't need it, but I don't really believe that... I like sleep a lot. Sometimes it's the bright point of my day. xD

@Choco: Yeah, my brother might still have the humane traps he used when he had a grey squirrel problem at his house. I really hope so, cause this thing is driving me bonkers. >< Yeah, I destabilize like 200-year-old dynamite if I stay up too long. KABOOM.

Hopefully my dad will like his gift, he's still at work (=out on a shoot) so I haven't shown it to him yet. It's a drawing of course.

stewartsage

@Kari: Get your orders in for poultry or cutlery, even if I don't get the job, I still have my grandparent's discount (turkey growers for Cargil)

@Bella:  Yeah, and I didn't know any of it until my mom just happened to mention it to my brother (a huge space fanatic) at my graduation party. The pictures of my Great Great Uncle Higgins show him in his WWI uniform (I think), he was a regular Army officer after the war but had retired before WWII.  His son (Edward Higgins, jr.) was a B-17 gunner, another cousin/great uncle of mine was a B-24 navigator, another cousin was a Navy subchaser capatain, Uncle Stanley was a mechanic I believe, my Uncle Lynn was an infantry officer in Europe (he met my Aunt Gerta in Germany while serving with the occupation).  My mom's dad was in a war vital job (agriculture) then later declared 4-F for a hernia (which they still wouldn't take him after surgery) and not drafted during Korea.  My father's step-father (his dad died the year I was born, heart attack) was a Yeoman on the USS Leyte (CV-32) and served two tours off Korea (where a plane hit the deck above his station, collapsing the comparments all around, but not his; one of the AA batterys lost power and rotated around, firing a dummy charge right into the bridge, causing him to loose a fair ammount of hearing; the first African-American Navy pilot was killed in action while flying from there) after serving on the Rhine River during the occupation of Germany.

Eh, I suppose I just get used to feeling like death for an hour or so after waking up.

Well if you exploded you'd probably get the squirrel too.
