why can't i take this class

@lego: hit it right on the stuffed-up nose. my boyfriend had it, his niece is getting it, and i think it's going around the library. on the upside, i feel better tonight, but on the downside, i've been saying that for about 2-3 days now, and i took some cough syrup about 45 minutes ago or so. :\


so i'm contemplating getting a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker. :0

@Kari: Only bumper sticker I've ever had on one of my vehicles was one for a [defunct] disco radio station (It was on the Dart, and in spite of my sister's efforts to remove it when it was still her car, it was pretty much fused to the glass -w-; )

EDIT: So, have some good and bad from today so far.

GOOD: My parents are going to be out of town next weekend (First weekend of October), with me having the house to myself from Friday to Sunday : D
BAD: My sister's father-in-law is in the hospital now, as a patient. Based off what I've heard, it's not looking good at all

It's absolutely the most entertaining CS/IT class I've been in, which alllllllllmost makes up for it being so damn hard.

I was just given the news earlier that he passed away while at the hospital. Not 100% sure what the cause was, but it seemed to relate to the various health problems he's had over the past few years. I got off work about 2 hours ago, but have spent most of the night hanging out with my bro-in-law and one of our friends, to help him keep his mind off of what happened (Talking about video game stuff and whatnot while he had some tacos. I was still full from eating some pizza at work).

On the upside...next month, when my sister goes to the convention in Tyler, I get my own vacation; she asked me if I could babysit her dog while she's away, so I get a 2-night vacation away from the parents : D

Going to a math talk next week! I may or may not get extra credit for it. But there will be pizza there, and math discussions, which is really all the motivation I need to go anyway.

TIL one of my classmates has good taste in anime and western animation, I knew my Godoka & Homucifer keychains would be an ice-breaker someday!

There was also an anti-Windows circlejerk at some point, because I've apparently ascended to a high enough tier in the CS/IT hierarchy where nobody wants to stand up for Windows. Bonus points for it being specifically pro-Unix and OS X (by way of Unix).
