So guys, someone threw away a perfectly working set top box yesterday. I picked it up, unplugged the latest one and installed the old one, and it still works with all the same channels! One persons junk is another mans treasure.

That's always cool. I have an older Dish Network receiver box, that I wanted to setup to my TV, but I still have to go into the attic to run wires and cut holes in the wall, and that's after calling Dish Network and paying to have a new Smart Card sent to us so we can use this box on our account. Not really worth the trouble, when I hope to be out on my own in a year or so
