Windows Phone 8.

I love it to death, but I wish there were more apps/games for it (the security is tight as fuck, and it ain't open source).

Heads up on a new Trojan

It encrypts your hard drive and transfers the algorithm to some external server.
after 72 hours it deletes it and your hard drive becomes useless unless you pay a ransom.

It is sent through links, forum/Facebook attachments and email attachments.
If you get this Trojan, you're in deep doodoo.

It will show up as a link to a video with a caption writen like,
Look at this awesome funny video.
All you need to do is view it and you're screwed.

Although it can also be in images.

This is old news but we were talking about this in networking class last week. 0___0

I've got to find me an old iPod touch.  There's a 16GB for $60 nearby.

Chocofreak13

@Kari: That's what I told him when he mentioned looking to buy one a day after I sold mine. I would have gladly cut him a deal

stewartsage

Yeah, but if I remember what Pent told me correctly it's only an 8GB.

Bella

I could've gotten you one at the MIT Flea Market, there was tons of used Apple equipment there. :/

Nichi

@Stew: Yeah; it was just an 8GB, but it was the previous generation

stewartsage

I'm currently looking at a 16GB Gen 1.  I don't need all that fancy modern technologies.

Chocofreak13

good luck man, but always keep in mind that some of the older ones may not be able to update to a more modern ios version, meaning you may not be able to get all the apps/functionality you otherwise would.

i'm stuck on ios6, though, i refuse to upgrade to that piece of leapster-lookalike crap they call ios7. >>;

Nichi

Indeed. At least with Sapphire, I couldn't even upgrade to iOS7 even if I wanted to for some reason -w-

so MS totally found me out

"this copy of windows is not genuine." tattooed at the bottom of my screen

all it does though is just set the background to black every once in awhile, and reset the colour of the taskbar

*right click*
*display settings*
*selects folder*
*doesn't even have to change colour back anymore, loses no other functionality : DDDDDDD *

doesnt Microsoft block critical system updates and security updates to non genuine windows copies?
