True, some of the LOL FRIENDSHIP and shit is still there, but to a much lesser degree than before. The best thing, I'd daresay, is the lack of comedy relief - sure, the main characters go about with their semi-crappy (though sometimes quite amusing) jokes, but nothing (or next to nothing, at least) is there purely for the sake of that. Quite nice!
