I just want to add. Gaming on Linux is the best choice I could've done. Running stuff in 4K no sweat.

Back when I originally joined this forum, Linux was one of them "he he, funny OS that's not windows" kind of things, which I did dabble into, but never took seriously. Now as someone mainly running Linux for 2 years, I cant go back.

Sure, my productivity PC is still an Offline only Win10 system. But give it some time and I'll learn to use Krita and move entirely to Linux.

Love it! I miss translucent colored case plastics. Making me want to fire up my atomic purple Dreamcast (but first I have to figure out why its ODE is so unstable...)

went out of my way to download Theme Hospital, a DOS-based game my sister and i had when we were kids. i've made it further than i've ever gone in the game (level 6 or 7), but am afraid to continue lest i screw it up and lose. xD

i also am learning that it takes a shitload of my focus, more than other games. it's a management sim so that's kinda to be expected, but i think it requires more than your average management sim given that, while you CAN leave your staff to their own devices and things will get done, there's other factors (such as emergencies, disease outbreaks, and fax messages) that require your attention. if you're not careful with cleaning, for example, suddenly every patient will be vomiting directly onto your floor in a never-ending spree that even hiring 10 janitors won't clean up.

I know lot of classic PC games have been fan ported to modern systems. But it's so neat that a lot of these are readily available in Linux App managers.

Really neat to play Dune II, Red Alert and Heroes II with modern quality of life upgrades. Without any digging around on the internet, just a couple clicks on the App manager.

I got addicted to Open TransportTycoonDeluxe last year. Put a bunch of hours into it until I managed to snap out of it.
This was before the Atari BS. Like, seriously. OpenTTD blew up big during covid, and then Atari went like "We can suck money out of this, without putting any effort into it!" So they pretty much went out of their way to buy the TTD brand and semi-CnDd the OpenTTD project, added a crappy version of TTD on steam and pretty much went "if you want to play OpenTTD on Steam, you need to have the Atari version license first".

OpenTTD is still freely available outside of Steam though. But screw you Atari.

Also, FINALLY got my flashcart for the Wonderswan. Flashcart maker had some production issues, so it got delayed quite a bit.
