Help with windows xp plz.

Maybe not.  Microsoft and a lot of other people have dropped 2000 support.  For example, you can't upgrade to the latest version of DirectX 9 on 2000 anymore because they added an incompatibility flag for it in the installer, even though it supports the same version of DirectX 9 as XP.

A fresh install of XP will likely work wonders.  What was the spec of the machine again?

just remember that if your computer is currently running on wireless internet, it won't work on 2000 w/o SP4. >__<

Yes it is.  Support for XP ends in 2015, and I imagine people will still write apps for it for a while after that.

i got windows 2000 loaded, i was so happy.
but then my dad messed up the internet setup.
So now he can't get the drivers. So he upgraded back to xp.
I am fucking pissed. Excuse my language.

.....HAH. I WAS RIGHT! SERVICE HASN'T ENDED FOR XP!!!! (ty red for making me check.) support for XP SERVICE PACK 2 has ended. and you can't buy any PCs with it preinstalled anymore. :\
