Finally My last B-day Gift came in the mail...

Finally the prettiest, fattest of meh home:

Nichi

Cool on the Mario game, although I've never seen an NES box that short before. I'll have to get pics of one of the boxes I have tomorrow to show what I'm talking about

alfonso_rd_30

it's a custom box my friend Nio gave me to apologize for the delay...

Nichi

Ah. Neat ^^

I plan on ordering some nice storage cases for some of my games eventually; to replace the shoeboxes most of my Nintendo stuff is in

alfonso_rd_30

the oinly bad thing is that it came a bit trussled because the guy sending it (another friend) did a shoddy packaging work

Nichi

Mmm. That always sucks :\

Well, time for new pics :3

My cat, in the hallway :3

Some assorted comics from my collection. From top to bottom:
- An issue of the Twilight Zone comic (Oldest single issue of a comic I own, from '79)
- Spider-Man, with Hologram cover. As pretty as it is, it doesn't top getting a Mr. T trading card with your comic </linkara>
- Atari Force. They used to bundle these with some Atari games
- TRS-80 Computer Whiz Kids. The finest guilty pleasure
- An OS-tan hentai I bought back in 2011. I'm eventually going to do a gag translation using real dialog from TRS-80 Computer Whiz Kids >:3 (Also, it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb amongst the other comics here ^^; )

The case to grandma's new PC. I hated this case, but it turns out my problem was that they packaged the wrong size of screw with it; which was the root of my problems with mounting the motherboard :\

Pic of a Scotch-Brite pad box at work. I was bored while waiting on the dough to be ready to put on the shelf

Who don't more multi-disc PlayStation games do this? I thought it was so cool when I first opened my copy of FF7, took out disc 1, and saw that image of Aeris standing in front of the Highwind stretching over to the instruction book cover

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6819.jpg
My collection of Final Fantasy games; which only lacks III and VIII. Apparently they didn't care much about V when it came over here in the Anthology bundle; it feels more like a bonus feature, given how all of the artwork on the case and instruction book are from VI, and the only mentioning of V being included is on the back of the case (Compare that to how Chronicles clearly shows on the front cover that you get both IV and Chrono Trigger).

The only two Final Fantasy guides I own. The FF7 guide is known for being rather inaccurate on some of the more advanced things (Chocobo breeding, rare materia, etc.), but it's nice for a quick reference with playing and you don't have access to the internet. The FF1 guide is one of the first Nintendo Power Official Player's Guides; which I have a soft spot for, even if some of them aren't the best ever.

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6821.jpg
Pokemon guides; Red & Blue (1998) and Platinum (2009). The Platinum guide I love so much; it's very in-depth, covering almost every aspect of the game in detail. In fact, let me show you how thick this guide is

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6822.jpg
A pic of it side-by-side with the core book for Changeling: The Dreaming - Second Edition. Speaking of Changeling, I want to play it again...

Since I mentioned NES boxes, I decided to take a pic of one I have, along with game boxes for Super NES and N64. Ah, Startropics 2; a very underrated Zelda clone

Togipi figurine. I thought Kari might like to see this :3

Two Pikachu plushies; one from 1999, and one from 2006

...and now, the golden Pikachu card with Pokéball case

This was part of a series of 6 golden Pokémon cards sold at Burger King as a promotion for the first movie back in 1999. I also have two others (I think both are Charizard; one of them still being in the original box. I know for a fact I have at least one Charizard). In addition to the Pokéball display case, it also has a plastic case around the card to protect it (But it can be removed easily if you want to). A pic of the complete set in original boxes, courtesy of Bulbapedia

Chocofreak13

The cat looks really cute, but tough too ^z^
OS-tan hentai is cool too
Am I the only one who prefers the older PC cases?
Final Fantasy 7 huh? How much was it, looks like it's in great condition.
Pokemanz, nuff said.
Zodacs Revenge seems like an uncommon game, is it?

@Alfonso: The baby looks swell.

Nichi

That copy of FF7 was free. A friend had a double copy, and let me have it -w-

As for Zoda's Revenge, it was one of the last titles to come out on the NES (The game came out when Donkey Kong Country was released on the Super NES), but it's not as rare as you'd think it is; I've ran into a few other copies during my travels, with an average price of $5 to $10.

As for case designs, it varies. I hate most of the flashy, high-end gaming cases with plexiglass sides; preferring more subtle designs
