Stuff like that is always cool. Granted, electricity is probably my favorite element; as reflected by my favorite Pokémon

I think tomorrow, since it's been pretty outside lately, I'm going to set out and get some nice scenic pics to share

Bella

@Pent: I look forward to seeing them. ^^

First Picture: Aw yeah baby, work the shaft.

Second Picture: [geoffrypeterson]Balls.[/geoffrypeterson]

DAMMIT STEW, YOU HAD TO GO THERE!

Hahah, no, it's adorable when you channel your inner 13-year-old-boy. : p

Nichi

Pics!

Before the scenic photos, here's one of my new setup with Fuuka. Also, you can see my PS2 next to her; with a PS/2 floppy drive set on top just because
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6564.jpg

Now, begins the scenic photos, with commentary:

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6566.jpg
It's been at least 12 years or so since I've been out here, and now that I finally figured out how to get back to the community forest (Completely unrelated to the Dogwood Trails, for the record), I decided to take a trek

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6570.jpg
This gives you an idea of what the first stretch of the trail looks like; the paths are nice and open, and there are signs with information on the types of trees nearby

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6573.jpg
It also runs all the way around Upper City Lake, so you'll see a lot of the lake. At the moment, you can only see it through the trees

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6574.jpg
The trail continues onward, as I expect to encounter a wild Pidgey or something </pokemon>

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6575.jpg
Here it is; Upper City Lake, as seen from the first pier on the trail. It's quite big; this is only a small portion of it

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6581.jpg
The first of many pointless really cool bridges on the trail. I believe a small creek used to run under them, but now it's dry

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6583.jpg
Berries of some kind. I don't know much about berries, so I have no idea what they are ^^;

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6587.jpg
A stump with some leaves growing from it. It looks so cool *w*

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6590.jpg
A natural archway. Reminds me of something I saw when on a hiking trail back in June, except this one is smaller (Everything's bigger in Texas New Hampshire, I guess?)

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6592.jpg
Once you hit the half-way point, you can see the road pretty clearly

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6596.jpg
A hollowed out tree trunk. Neat

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6600.jpg
As you go deeper in, the trail does become a bit more crowded

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6609.jpg
This tree looks like it'd been down for some time

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6622.jpg
Almost at the end

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6626.jpg
But first, another bridge

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6629.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6630.jpg
...and a partially broken bridge. Pics from both sides

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6638.jpg
This trail was a lot longer than I remembered it ^^;

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6642.jpg
A really thick spiderweb is on this branch. I though this looked cool

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6647.jpg
Now I'm in the home stretch; as we finally get a clear view of the lake once again

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6648.jpg
Also, I can now see the pier I was standing on earlier

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6649.jpg
This is the final stretch of the trail

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6650.jpg
...and I finally remembered to take a pic of one of the signs ^^;

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6651.jpg
This pic gives you a good idea of how big the lake is

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6652.jpg
I see my truck in the distance

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6654.jpg
At last, the trail comes to a close; arriving at the second picnic area (Also, the alternate entrance to the trail)

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6656.jpg
Here, you can see the path I take to quickly get back across the lake and to my truck

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6657.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6660.jpg
I had to get in a few more pics of the lake

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6661.jpg
Lastly, before my camera died, a pic of my shadow as I was walking back. I thought this looked cool

stewartsage

That looks like a pretty fun place to hike Pent.  Maybe I should go up into the National Forest and take some more pictures from the observation tower.  Granted that'd be more of a drive then a hike, but I'd rather not walk into the woods this time of the year (Winter/hunting season).

Those bridges are probably only important seasonally, when there's enough rain to fill the creekbed.  I'd also bet they were probably built by scouts :3

Pitkin

Pentium, I just love that photo "clear view of the lake again": the contrast of the shadows of the forest where you were standing and the bright colours around the lake are marvellous. Also the sky on the "how big the lake really is" photo is fantastic, and reflects so well from the lake mirror. :)

On the other hand, I wish I could know what the berries you photographed were. I've never seen berries of that colour.

Bella

That DOES look like a nice place to hike! And reminds me a bit of the woodlands surrounding my old neighborhood, which bordered a pretty big pond (well, it was connected to a river technically, but it looked like a pond from my section of the neighborhood).

Like Pitkin, I'm quite curious what sort of berries those are.

Wait until spring to go on that trail?

Boy scouts build things in parks?

Nichi

I am curious what kind of berries they are, since I really don't know anything about them ^^;

Also, thanks for the compliments. It is quite a nice trail ^^

Nichi

That actually looks like the Mac that used to be in the office at the museum my mom worked at; which was the first Mac I ever used *w*

Very nice

Nichi

@PizzaDrill: Apparently you did. If it makes you feel better, I missed out on going to their museum during my epic adventure in that area back in June

Now, it's picture time again:

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0060A.jpg
A rabbit statue, sitting on the table outside of grandma's office

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0059B.jpg
Grandma has a red hat. Apparently she was part of the Red Hat Society for a while, back around 2002 or something. Although, both then and now, "Red Hat" always makes me think "Linux"

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0062A.jpg
I can picture Bella owning this :3

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0061A.jpg
Asagi. What are you doing? Asagi. Stahp.
Actually, that's a Gateway laptop I found at Wal-Mart; which caught me off-guard for having the same color scheme as Asagi

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6670.jpg
Giant Mario Sticker. A promotional item for the new Paper Mario

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6672.jpg
A set of Zelda posters I received from a Nintendo promotion back in '09. I've kept them in their tube since I received them; intending on eventually buying frames for them

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6673.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6676.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6674.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6675.jpg
Yes, I also have a complete set of the MLP promo posters for myself. I couldn't resist

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6677.jpg
A shot of the posters on the wall behind my TV, in my other room. There are a few things, like the Ronin Warriors logo, which have been up there since back when this was my sister's room

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6679.jpg
A better look at the Zelda: Ocarina of Time poster, in all it's coolness

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6678.jpg
I've shown this before, but I might as well show it off again. It's a poster custom-made by the store manager of the local Gamestop, to promote the release of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. It was one of the prized I received when I won a Pokémon tournament (By default, admittedly; as I was the only person who showed up)

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6680.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6681.jpg
The posters on the wall behind my couch. I've had that Dinocop poster for years

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6682.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6685.jpg
Posters on the wall around my bed. The DBZ drawing my sister made for me has been up there forever, although not as long as that matchstick cross (Which hasn't moved from that spot since 1999). However, the Phantasy Star Online poster moved over here

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6684.jpg
Mario Party 8 sign in an obscure corner of my room. I can't even get over there now ^^;

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6686.jpg
Posters on the wall with my coat rack, behind the door. The biggest changes since last time are the addition of the Negima poster that Pit sent me (Still need to find somewhere to hang the Kanon posters she sent me), and a Pokémon poster from an old issue of Nintendo Power :3

Have some wi-fi names from Farmville

Bella

#2052
@Stew: DO YOU LIVE IN A FACEBOOK GAME? Or that Adventure Time alternate universe??

For some kind of record, I have no idea what my wifi network name is, nor is it secured. >> Not like anyone could use it anyway, all my neighbors are too far away and we don't exactly have a lot of strangers hanging about around here. .__.

@Pent: Oooh, I could imagine myself owning that book. ^^

And that set of Zelda promotional posters is really nice... I know what you mean when you say you want to frame them.

(I'd like to find a couple of cheap frames for my MLP posters, mostly 'cause i don't wanna poke holes in/stick tape to them) ;_;

Nichi

#2053
@Stew: I wish I could see funny wifi connection names like that *__*

So, a few random pics to show:

First off, the scarf I made for Kari. It's as long as a twin-size blanket, and really soft
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6688.jpg

Here's the Oreo cheesecake pie I made for Thanksgiving, right after completion
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/100_6689.jpg

Lastly, me in trap mode showing off my pie, while wearing the scarf (That sounds dirty when I think about it xD)
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6694.jpg

Nichi

Sorry to double-post, but more pics :3
First off, some random pics on my phone from a trip to Wal-Mart last weekend

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0063A.jpg
I found the "shake me!" sticker on this to be amusing; especially given that Rex is on it. It made me think of the "shake the lizard" message on the Sobe bottles xD

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0064A.jpg
My sister once joked about how the Blue Ranger's helmet from the latest Power Rangers series looks like a pot leaf. Since then, I just can't unsee it xD

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0065A.jpg
Speaking of my sister, I almost bought this for her as a Christmas gift; since she wants some of the blind bag-sized ponies. However, I ended up buying her the season 7 box set of Supernatural (Since she likes that series, and didn't have the season 7 set yet)

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0066A.jpg
I admit, I misread this pony's name as "Princess Candace" xD
Bella is pony princess? :3

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0067A.jpg
Bang
Wait; wrong Spike ^^;

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0068A.jpg
Pinkie Pie has a train. Somehow, that doesn't seem out-of-character for her

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/IMG0072A.jpg
Lastly, Spongebob is watching you. I found this amusing for some reason

Now, for some trap pics...taken during an epic adventure to JC Penny, while in a full trap mode (Yep, I actually did that. I was nervous, but it went well ^^)

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6695.jpg
How I was dressed. I might eventually look into a nice pair of flats to wear when and if I do this again, but for now, my plain sneakers are gender-neutral enough to work

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6698.jpg
First off, a red dress. It was comfy, although a size too big ^^;

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6700.jpg
This tiny leather jacket thingy. IDK what it's called, but I love the way it looks with my top and skirt, even if it was a little tight in the arms ^^

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6709.jpg
Jeans that were a size too small ^^;;
They look nice, although they were hard to move in (Also, as an amusing note, the brand name also happens to be Pit's name. Therefore, these jeans would go well with a nice top and a fedora)

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6711.jpg
A simple, straight black skirt. It was a little hard to move in compared to what I'm used to, but not bad. Plus, if it was blue, it'd be perfect for a cosplay of Fedora-tan (The character, of course :3)

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6713.jpg
A similar skirt, that was grey with black lace. I like this one

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6715.jpg
A black and red dress with a belt. It was comfy, and it looks nice

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6719.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6720.jpg
http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6723.jpg
Lastly, a fancy black dress I adore; it's beautiful and comfortable at the same time *w*
If I had $60, you bet I'd buy it

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6722.jpg
Not one of the better pics of the dress, but I liked the way it looked with the partial reflection of me on the second mirror for some reason

http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x283/The_Real_PentiumMMX/Timey%20wimey%20stuff/The_Sacred_Realm/100_6724.jpg
My purse. Not exactly stylish, but it's practical :3
