Corner of Wyoming past Yellowstone. Probably going to finally enter California today to see Redwoods.

Hey, Yellowstone was my first guess. Glad I wasn't too far off.

Ooh, have fun. ^^ The redwood forests look absolutely beautiful, it's one of the things I most want to see if/when I visit CA someday.

I already have quite a few pics of the trip, 50 or so.

After Redwoods it is Apple and loads of awesome.

Chocofreak13

@bella: i feel the same way. i have a racing game for the N64 that had a track that featured redwoods, and i remember wanting to see them in person (still do). there's plenty to see in CA, but that's definitely on my list. ^^

@kriz: so is the apple store the whole point of your trip, or are you seeing relatives or something too? :0

It's one of my major reasons. We're just seeing lots of stuff.

I want to go out to the Bay Area JUST. TO SEE. THE COMPUTER MUSEUM. ;^;

(Though I should probably start off by visiting the ones in Rhode Island first...)

Nichi

I was a bit let down that we didn't make it in time to see the MIT museum, but hey; there's always next summer -w-
I just need to get another job, so I can start saving up for it

Bella

I kinda want to see the Waltham Museum of Industry because piece of Whirlwind. Though there've also been rumors that the piece of core is at the MIT Museum if memory serves correct.

These people and their inability to keep track of holy relics.

stewartsage

Yeah, I've seen video of the core memory of MIT as late as 2008/9 though I do think most of the displayed parts are at Waltham and the Computer Museum now.

So, you might remember the story on how I obtained my Amigas about a month ago. Well, I have a follow-up on that:

First off, the power supply is a bit bigger than I expected; as seen here compared to Fuuka. However, it does stay very cool compared to the power supply for Nimue, so it's a nice trade-off

Meet Twinkle; the Amiga 500. This is the older of the two I obtained (She has a Kickstart V1.2 ROM), and is also in better functional shape (She's a bit more yellowed, but the keyboard doesn't have any sticky keys). For the curious, yes; I did name it after my favorite character from Bust-A-Move '99 (Puzzle Bobble 3 DX, for those in Europe) :3

Lastly, the "Please insert boot disk" screen. It may specifically ask for Workbench 1.2, but it'll directly boot into many of the games I have.

Now, for something I think Kari will approve of:

.hack//Outbreak, new and sealed. Not bad for $15, right? >:3

outbreak was always my favourite cover (well, the first one and last one are pretty epic too), maybe because of some of my favourite characters on it, maybe because of an overabundance of my favourite colour.

as for the amiga, glad to see they're working. both of them DO work, right?

Nichi

Yes, both are working; the second one looks like it just needs some new springs to fix the sticky keys, but otherwise is working (And is also newer than Twinkle)

Not sure yet; I'll figure that one out when I can replace those springs
